Key Domestic Poverty Areas and Opportunities for Faith Based Partnerships

- With The U.S. Federal Government -

As part of the Council meetings OFBNP communicated that the Administration is leading a new federal approach to America's high-poverty areas, an approach that facilitates the economic integration of families and communities with efforts to support the current low-income residents of those areas.

The Office of the Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnership worked with the 25 Council members to recommend ways to bridge the gap with the government and address six taskforce issues:

  1. Reform of the Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships
  2. Economic Recovery and Fighting Poverty
  3. Fatherhood and Healthy Families
  4. Inter-Religious Cooperation
  5. Environment and Climate Change
  6. Global Poverty, Health and Development
