From October 22-26th, 2010, HASC participated in the interfaith leadership training hosted by the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnership.
The Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) delivered the training to student leaders and campus staff from across the country. The training advanced the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to improve interfaith cooperation on campus as recommended to the President.
HASC is working to implement the recommendations made by President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships to advance multi-religious cooperation and partnerships among the government, civil groups and the academic community in order to uplift local and global communities, to improve health and education, address environmental issues, and promote economic recovery. |
